These are a few of my favourite things around my kitchen right now. I am fickle and this will inevitably change from time to time. I am going to try and keep this as up to date as Big and Little Daughters will allow.
Cooking Magazines, especially Australian ones for some reason, like Australian Gourmet Traveller.
Le Creuset Cookware - I often go to the shop just to drool over the 9L French Oven which costs just about as much as a new stove.
Cake tins like the ones at Emma Bridgewater - for yummy things and for hiding all manner of clutter.
This knife block. It is perfect for a mismatched set like mine. This one came from Lee Valley but I am told they can be found elsewhere.
I love my stove which we inherited with our house, but I am still learning all of its little quirks.
I am all about the cast iron right now. I am trying to get rid of all those not so good non-stick pans. This little number is the handiest thing I have found in a while.
My Pyrex mixing bowls and lots of other vintage pyrex. I found this website which is so geeky that I shouldn't even admit to knowing it exists but I have hung out there briefly once or twice.
Maldon Sea Salt - so good for finishing just about anything, even toast with strawberry jam.
Farmer's markets everywhere. This is our local. And, it isn't technically around my kitchen but its produce tends to be.
